HERO collected life-saving medical equipment and supplies to help aid Haiti in their disaster relief efforts. In February, HERO shipped 20,000 pounds of wound care supplies to Haiti with the help of the EW Wylie Corporation, Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead and Dakota Food Equipment.
“Our goal is to collect and ship medical supplies that will be needed in the weeks ahead as hospitals are rebuilt. We can help Haitian hospitals regain their independence by assisting to stock and replenish their shelves with vital medical supplies,” stated Joyce Newton, Executive Director of HERO.
The hospital was evacuated when the earthquake struck Haiti.
