The biggest compliance upgrade we have ever shipped is live. Here is what changed, two things to expect, and why it makes every connection in the network stronger.
What’s New
Rules Engine
- Federal and state regulations, built in. AIM Act and Section 608 requirements, plus state-specific rules, now run against your equipment (or a specific circuit) automatically. They apply to every asset, whether or not your team manages it.
- Default resolution paths. Every platform-wide rule ships with pre-built, compliance-engineered resolution paths for the technicians who service your equipment.
- Your own custom rules. Set additional rules for the equipment you control: tighter thresholds, internal policy, consent decree terms.
- Custom resolution paths you design. When a rule catches something on a unit or an individual circuit, the platform opens an Event, a tracked item on that piece of equipment, and walks the servicing technician through resolving it. You build those steps in the workflow builder, including different paths depending on what gets found in the field.
- Close it out with documentation. Not every Event ends in a repair. Technicians are prompted to record what was done and why, attach it to the equipment, and clear the Event or extend the deadline.
- Notifications on your terms. Every workspace decides who hears about what, and when. You hear from us when you want to.
Full Charge & Current Charge
- Full Charge. We added clarity to the existing charge field so the stable, true full charge on each circuit is visible to everyone who looks.
- Current Charge. Current Charge now displays separately from Full Charge on every circuit and unit, so any viewer or servicer knows exactly where things stand.
- Overcharge correction. New mobile tools let field technicians correct overcharge scenarios, and the resulting Leak Loss Rates, right on site.
Two Things to Expect
You may get notified about conditions that already exist. When the new rules switch on, we check every asset against them. If a unit is already past a threshold, an Event opens and you are notified. These are not new problems, and nothing got worse overnight. You are getting better insight and new resolution paths, which is exactly what lets you get ahead of it.
A few reports will be briefly unavailable. Reports tied to the old exceedance data are being rebuilt against the new engine. If you open one during that window, you will see a note that it is under construction. Bringing them back is our top priority, and they will return one at a time in the days after launch.
What You Need to Do
Nothing. The upgrade happens on our side. If something looks wrong, tell us. This is a large change and we would rather hear from you early.
Why one upgrade matters to everyone
Here is the part that is easy to miss in a feature list. A rule that runs automatically is useful. A rule that runs automatically and shares its result, at the same moment, with everyone connected to that asset is something the industry has never had. It is the same jump the industry saw when navigation went from a handheld unit that read out coordinates to a live network that showed you the whole road.
That shared layer is the Heroverse.
Every piece of equipment in the Heroverse carries its identity, location, service history, and compliance status with it, permanently. Every cylinder is tracked from the moment it is registered, through every transfer, charge, and recovery. Every service a technician performs is documented once and flows to every party who needs it: the technician’s own record, the service team’s workspace, and the facility owner’s compliance portfolio. No one enters it twice. No one has to call anyone. It just happens, because everyone is working in the same place.
The network gets more valuable with every user who joins and every service documented inside it. Each nameplate scanned adds to the shared picture. Each facility managed creates visibility for the contractors who serve it. Each cylinder tracked strengthens the chain of custody for every ounce it carries.
What it means for you
Technicians
Your work follows you. Every system you have scanned, every service you have documented, every pound you have recovered, it is yours. It does not belong to the company you work for today. It belongs to your career. When you move to a new team, your Hero Fame, your certifications, and your service history come with you.
Contractors & Service Teams
Your operation gains a shared memory. Every FSO your technicians submit, every cylinder in your fleet, every customer relationship, organized, visible, and audit-ready in one workspace. When a tech scans a unit at a customer site, you see the record before the truck is back in the lot.
Facility Managers & Equipment Owners
Complete visibility into the equipment that keeps your business running, without chasing anyone for paperwork. Every asset at every facility is tracked. Every service performed by your authorized providers flows into your records. Leak Loss Rates calculate automatically. Exceedance alerts fire when they should. When a regulator asks for documentation, it is a report, not a scramble.
Authorized Service Providers
The contractor-client relationship becomes a real partnership. When a facility owner authorizes your team, you see their equipment, their history, and their compliance needs before your tech steps on site. Your documentation flows back to them automatically. No handoff, no missing records, no “we will send that over next week.” Shared visibility builds trust and sets you apart from every contractor still running on paper and promises.
Equipment Manufacturers
The equipment you build enters the Heroverse during manufacturing and QA, or the moment a technician scans its nameplate. From there, every service, every refrigerant event, and every compliance record ties to that unit, creating a real-world service history no warranty card could capture. That connected lifecycle data shows how your equipment performs in the field, how it is maintained, and where the next design or training improvement lives.
One universe. One truth.
The Heroverse is not a feature inside FMHero. It is FMHero. It is the foundation that makes every scan, every service, every transfer, and every compliance record mean something, because they are all connected to each other and to the people who need them.
Your Documentation Shield just got stronger.
